Forum Rules
The forum is provided by the staff team with the intent of creating a productive environment for interaction between us and our members.
Towards that end we expect you to keep a tone that is civil and respectful as if you were a guest in our office. Participation in the forum is a privilege, not a right.
The staff team may suspend, modify, terminate, or delete any forum account at any time for breaking any of these rules, while providing notice. Permanent bans are only given out as a last resort, or to accounts that were obviously only created to produce spam. It is the staff team’s wish that people receive second chances after misbehaving on the forum, because being connected to the forums can be detrimental to playing on our server.
Please note that while following these rules across all boards, some boards also have board specific rules which you are required to follow while posting in them.
Trolling
Definition: Inflammatory or off-topic messages intended to provoke other members into a desired emotional response or to otherwise disrupt the topic.
A ) You may not post with the intention of negatively provoking other members.
- If you must leave criticism, consider your post carefully and word it constructively.
B ) You may not disrupt any thread that is owned by an individual or a faction.
- If the owner of the thread finds your posts to be disruptive they will be removed by a moderator without question.
- You are also not allowed to create disruptive posts in any of the ban appeal, abuse complaint, or role play sub forums.
C ) You may not discredit staff anywhere besides the admin abuse report subforums.
Harassment
Definition: Systematic and/or continued unwanted and annoying actions, including threats and demands.
A ) You may not harass (sexually or otherwise), verbally abuse, threaten, berate, flame, or cause unwanted distress to anyone.
Content
A ) You may not use sexually explicit, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, obscene, hateful, racially or ethnically offensive language.
- This includes workarounds, symbols, links, misspelling, and text within images.
B ) You may not use images, videos, names, or avatars unsuitable for a young audience, or which would be likely to cause offense.
- This includes pornography, obscene imagery, racially offensive imagery, imagery symbolic of themes which would cause offense, or images that contain inappropriate text.
C ) You may not discuss, post items or links on religion, pornography, illegal drugs or the abuse of such drugs, game exploits, macros, or disallowed game practices as per the game rules.
- Do not post links for any item that involves copyrighted material. If the item seems too good to be true it's usually illegal, so if uncertain ask first.
D ) You may not use the forums to sell or advertise the sale of products which are illegal, or are not concerned with us without permission from the head forum admin first.
Language
A ) You must use English when posting in the forum. If you cannot use English, we suggest the use of a translator.
- This does not apply to recruitment threads that are related to a specific faction or group.
- If you would like to have a special place for people of your language to post, make a suggestion about it in the suggestions board.
B ) You may never impersonate any user of the forums, and you may certainly not impersonate any member of staff, or falsely suggest that you are staff.
Challenging Moderation
A) You should only challenge admins and forum moderators in their respective sections on the forum.
- Issues with administration should be handled by the head admin or lead forum moderator. If the issue is with one of these two, it will be handled by the server owner.
B ) If you have had a post removed and are unable to determine the reason after a careful review of the Forum Rules, contact a forum moderator through private message with any questions regarding why.
